Ensuring Future Smart Grid Upgrades
To ensure cost-effectiveness, we applied selected Chinese standards to this project. Taking into account Ghana’s climate and equipment requirements, we carefully selected equipment to minimize transformer losses and utilize split-type prepaid meters. This improvement reduced both no-load and load losses in the transformers, enhanced the management capabilities of local power operators, and improved meter reliability, ensuring future smart grid upgrades.
To ensure the long-term, efficient, and stable operation of Ghana’s rural power grid, we developed a detailed operations management and maintenance plan, including training, regular inspections, and ad hoc consultation and problem resolution.
