Application
Gongniu Cable’s N2XSBY (CU/XLPE/STA/PVC) Power Cables are designed for use in power distribution networks. These versatile cables are suitable for various installation environments. You can install them indoors, within tunnels, in cable trenches, or lay them directly underground. They are widely used in transformer stations, electric power plants, and different industrial plants. While the N2XSBY cable can withstand external mechanical forces, it is not designed to bear heavy pulling tension.
Description
The N2XSBY cable from Gongniu Cable is built with quality components for reliable and safe operation.
- Conductor: The cable features a Class 2 circular compacted copper conductor.
- Conductor Screen: A non-metallic, semi-conducting compound is used for the conductor screen.
- Insulation: We use Cross-Linked Polyethylene (XLPE) for its excellent insulating properties.
- Insulation Screen: A non-metallic, semi-conducting compound also serves as the insulation screen.
- Metallic Screen: A copper tape acts as the metallic screen.
- Inner Sheath: The inner sheath is made of Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC).
- Armour: For added protection, the cable is armored with non-magnetic steel tape.
- Outer Sheath: A robust Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) outer sheath encases the cable.
This Gongniu Cable product offers good electrical and mechanical properties. Key characteristics include minimal dielectric loss and high insulation resistance. Furthermore, the PVC outer sheath provides adequate resistance to grease, oil, and abrasion, ensuring durability in various conditions.

- The overall cable construction adheres to IEC 60502-2 (Power Cables with Extruded Insulation and Their Accessories for Rated Voltages from 1kV(Um=1.2kV) up to 30kV(Um=36kV) – Part 2: Cables for Rated Voltages of 6kV(Um=7.2kV) and 30kV(Um=36kV)).
