Medium voltage cables for distribution networks. They are suitable for laying indoor, tunnel, cables trench and underground, it is able to bear external mechanical forces, but unable to bear heavy pulling force, it widely used in transformer stations, electric power plants and industrial plants.

Application

The N2XSEBY power cable is designed for medium voltage distribution networks. It is well-suited for installation in diverse settings, including:

  • Indoor environments
  • Cable tunnels and trenches
  • Direct burial underground

This cable is built to withstand significant external mechanical forces, making it a reliable choice for transformer stations, electric power plants, and various industrial plants. However, it is not designed for conditions involving heavy pulling tension.

Description

The Gongniu Cable N2XSEBY cable features a multi-layer construction to ensure optimal electrical and mechanical performance. Key components include:

  • Conductor: Compacted circular copper conductors (Class 2) provide excellent conductivity.
  • Insulation: Cross-Linked Polyethylene (XLPE) insulation offers superior electrical properties, minimal dielectric loss, and high insulation resistance. This contributes to the cable’s efficiency and long service life.
  • Screening: Non-metallic semi-conducting compounds are used for both conductor and insulation screening, along with a copper tape metallic screen (CTS) to manage the electric field and ensure operational safety.
  • Sheathing & Armour:
    • A Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) inner sheath provides a foundational layer of protection.
    • Steel Tape Armour (STA) offers substantial mechanical protection against physical damage.
    • The outer sheath is also made of durable PVC, giving the cable good resistance to grease, oil, and abrasion, which is essential for maintaining integrity in industrial settings.
  • Filler: Non-hygroscopic material is used to fill interstices, preventing moisture ingress and maintaining the cable’s structural integrity.

Our N2XSEBY power cables are manufactured and tested in accordance with recognized international standards to ensure quality and reliability:

  • IEC 60228: This standard pertains to the conductors of insulated cables, ensuring proper electrical current carrying capacity.
  • IEC 60502-2: This specification covers power cables with extruded insulation for rated voltages from 1kV up to 30kV, specifically addressing cables for rated voltages of 6kV (Um=7.2kV) and 30kV (Um=36kV).
