Description

The N2XSRY – YJSV72 power cable features a carefully engineered structure for superior performance:

  • Conductor: It uses a high-quality copper conductor. This conductor is circular and compacted for excellent electrical conductivity
  • Conductor Screen: A non-metallic, semi-conducting compound surrounds the conductor. This layer helps to smooth the electric field, ensuring stable operation
  • Insulation: The cable features cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation. This material offers high dielectric strength and excellent resistance to heat, making the cable very reliable
  • Insulation Screen: Another layer of non-metallic, semi-conducting compound covers the insulation. This further optimizes the electric field distribution
  • Metallic Screen: A copper wire screen is incorporated. This metallic layer provides critical protection against electromagnetic interference and helps with fault current handling
  • Inner Sheath: A polyvinyl chloride (PVC) inner sheath protects the core components. This provides an additional layer of insulation and mechanical stability
  • Armour: Crucially, this cable includes a steel wire armor (SWA). This robust layer provides outstanding mechanical protection. It safeguards the cable from external impact and crushing forces, especially important for direct burial applications
