However, it is important to note that this cable is not suitable for situations requiring heavy pulling forces.

Description

The N2XSEBY – YJLSV22 is a robust 3-core medium voltage power cable. It features aluminum conductors. These conductors are class 2 and circularly compacted for efficient power transmission. A non-metallic, semi-conducting compound forms the conductor screen. This helps to smooth the electric field distribution.

The cable’s insulation is made from cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE). XLPE offers excellent electrical properties, ensuring minimal dielectric loss and high insulation resistance. An insulation screen, also made from a non-metallic, semi-conducting compound, is applied over the XLPE. This layer further enhances the cable’s electrical performance. For effective fault current handling and electromagnetic shielding, the cable incorporates a copper wire metallic screen.

Non-hygroscopic material fills the cable, maintaining its shape and preventing moisture absorption. A polyvinyl chloride (PVC) inner sheath protects the cable cores. The cable then features steel tape armour. This armor provides robust mechanical protection against external impacts. Finally, a durable polyvinyl chloride (PVC) outer sheath completes the construction. This protective layer ensures the cable’s long-term performance and durability. Our N2XSEBY – YJLSV22 cable adheres to strict international standards. This ensures high performance and safety. It meets the requirements of IEC 60228 for conductors of insulated cables. Additionally, it fully complies with IEC 60502-2. This standard specifies power cables with extruded insulation and their accessories. It covers rated voltages from 1kV (Um=1.2kV) up to 30kV (Um=36kV). This confirms its suitability for a wide range of medium voltage applications.
